A token’s name says “Visit [some website] to claim your rewards”—is it safe to click?
Definition: Simply receiving an unfamiliar token won’t cause problems for your wallet. The danger lies in interacting with the token afterward.
How it works: The estimated value shown in your wallet is generally calculated from quotes in on-chain liquidity pools. The quoted price of a scam token can easily be artificially inflated, so don’t take the displayed figure at face value.
A price is also listed at the end: $ETH , current price 2375.84, 24h -1.93%.
Only you should keep your recovery phrase and private key. Never give them to anyone, no matter what kind of “customer service” representative asks.
