Ahead of Singles’ Day, Google is helping you combine 10 shopping carts into 1.
Today, Google launched Universal Cart in the U.S.: add products from different retailers to one cart, shared across Search and the Gemini app.
Three useful features: automatic alerts for price drops and restocks; promo codes applied automatically at checkout; and, if you connect Google Wallet, card recommendations based on your credit card perks.
The contrast? While you’re still comparing prices across 10 retailers, Google keeps an eye on everything in one cart (currently U.S.-only, with Nike, Target, Walmart, and others on board).
Pick a side: would you let Google watch for price drops, or is the joy of comparison shopping irreplaceable?
