As of 19:00, $LTC is at 58.13, down 5.7% over the past 24 hours and 8.0% over the past 7 days. But zooming out, it’s still up 13.4% over 30 days—a kind of movement that can really throw your emotions off balance. The current price has fallen about 5.8% below the daily MA7 and 12.3% below the MA25, but it remains 9.9% above the MA99. With the three moving averages pointing in different directions, the short- and medium-term trend is weakening, but the broader trend hasn’t broken yet. The daily RSI14 is at 37, approaching oversold territory but not yet at an extreme. Many people see that number and want to buy the dip, but this is exactly when it’s most important to tighten up your emotional discipline.

My view is that in a broad market sell-off (the overall market is also down 5.7% over 24 hours), it’s difficult to assess an individual coin’s decline based on technical analysis alone. $LTC is currently 32% of the way through its 30-day range (50.20–75.00), which means there is still considerable downside that hasn’t been ruled out. On the 4-hour chart, the current price is 5.0% below the 4h MA20, and the six 4-hour candles over the past 24 hours are down a combined 5.1%, so short-term momentum is indeed weak.

My own rule is this: when the moving averages are all aligned bearishly from top to bottom, but the RSI hasn’t fallen below 30, this kind of “partial breakdown” is most likely to trigger emotional decisions—you’re afraid of a drop, so you chase the decline; you’re afraid of missing out, so you want to jump in immediately. When faced with conflicting signals like these, the only reliable approach is to write down in advance what conditions would change your view, rather than changing your mind on the spot just because trading volume has picked up (it’s currently 1.2 times the average volume of the previous 7 days). Higher volume only indicates increased attention; it doesn’t confirm the direction. Discipline isn’t about predicting correctly or incorrectly—it’s about not letting a single candlestick or a passing emotion overturn your original plan. This is my personal opinion and not investment advice.
