$BTC price is only one layer; position cost is the second.

First, the positioning side: 1-hour trading volume is about 0.50 times the median of the past 20 periods, OI is up 1.72% over one hour, and the funding rate is -0.0002%. Price, volume, and positioning have yet to align in a one-way move, so for now it makes more sense to watch the range.

Now the price side: as of 20:06 Beijing time on October 15, Binance's $BTC spot price was 80,899.09 USDT, while OKX was at 80,918.80. The 15-minute, 1-hour, and 4-hour changes were -0.17%, -0.08%, and -0.69%, respectively.

Another interpretation is that after both bulls and bears adjusted their positions, one side temporarily gained the upper hand in the short term. Public OI data alone cannot tell us which side is more aggressive. 80,226.35 below and 82,092.37 above are the two current structural boundaries. A break above 82,092.37 is only confirmed if the price retests it and holds. A drop back below 80,226.35 would invalidate the current view. Until these conditions play out, I see this as position rotation, not a trend.

This is an observation based solely on publicly available market data and does not constitute investment advice.
