They’re simply collecting liquidity during this slow dump from people like you who keep opening LONG positions. Every time you go LONG, you’re basically providing the liquidity they need to close their existing SELL orders.
This is their only real chance to realize their PNL. Pumping the price in an empty market won’t generate enough liquidity to exit such massive LONG positions, but you help them to form good average close price.
