Bitcoin is trading near $81,610 — just 0.05% above the US spot ETF cost basis of $81,500, per Glassnode's Oct 14 weekly report. That is the average price every US ETF buyer paid. BTC slipped below this line twice this week, on Oct 8 and Oct 13, and bounced back both times — the line is holding by a thread.
Why it matters: a daily close below $81,500 would put the average ETF holder underwater, and Glassnode warns that could trigger fresh waves of selling. The ETF bid is already fading: after nearly $3B of inflows between Sept 21 and Oct 6, the funds have seen about $760M of net outflows since Oct 7.
Below sits $80,000 — the densest bids on Binance's spot book are gathered there, and a loss of $80K risks hitting a liquidation cluster. On the upside, $88,000 is the key resistance.

Do YOU think $81,500 holds, or are the ETF buyers about to go red?
