TD Cowen raised its price target for Microsoft from 540 to 625, nearly a 16% increase, but $MSFT is now trading at 531.84, down 2.87%.

Analysts raised their target, but the market isn’t buying it. Trading volume hit 41.9 million U, which shows real money is moving—not that nobody’s paying attention. I’ve seen this happen plenty of times: a brokerage report changes a number, but shareholders who want to sell keep selling.

My view is straightforward: this report isn’t worth much right now. For that 631 price to matter, we first need to see the financial results back it up.

If it surges back above 550 on high volume next, I’ll admit my take was off—I called it too soon.
