Main Takeaways
bStocks has now crossed $1B in AUM, only four months after launch, and Binance Research data shows users are actively converting and trading them, not just holding.
A key differentiator is the 1:1 convertibility between bStocks and the underlying stocks on Binance, with no conversion fees. Users have already converted more than $6B between the two formats.
Usage is concentrated outside the traditional session. In August 2026, only 42% of bStocks volume occurred during regular U.S. market hours, and on-chain usage indicators suggest tokenized securities are being used beyond 24/7 trading.

It's official: bStocks has crossed the $1B milestone, four months after launching in June. We see this as a strong signal that users want crypto-native TradFi exposure. Looking at the broader market, tokenized equities are the fastest growing real-world asset (RWA) of 2026, up 390.4% in market cap year-to-date, according to Binance Research. bStocks alone represents roughly a quarter of the sector’s market capitalization, as of October 2026.
Why bStocks is Leading the Charge
The tokenized equity sector has experienced massive growth since June, and we don't believe it's a coincidence that bStocks launched around the same time.
If you're new to bStocks, they're tokenized securities that give users 1:1 exposure to selected stocks and ETFs. You can learn more in our introductory blog post. Below, we break down the numbers and the product features behind the growth of bStocks.
1:1 conversion with no fees
bStocks holders can convert between their token and the corresponding stocks on Binance at a 1:1 rate with no conversion fees. Some platforms don't have a conversion mechanism, forcing users to make two separate trades – sell the token and rebuy the stock directly – if they want to switch.
Binance users can hold bStocks when they want to trade outside regular hours, withdraw them to a self-custody wallet, or use them on-chain. When they’d rather hold the stock directly, they can convert anytime with no fees, and vice versa. So far, users have converted more than $6B between the two formats, as of October 2026, more than six times the AUM itself.
Trading outside the bell
bStocks operate around the clock, including weekends, with the majority of trading activity taking place outside the regular session. According to Binance Research data from August 2026, only 42% of bStocks volume happens during regular U.S. market hours, compared with 89.2% for conventional U.S. equities. The other 58% was well distributed across pre-market, post-market, overnight, and weekend sessions.
Regular sessions capture the bulk of conventional U.S. equity volume, but earnings reports, policy announcements, and major headlines often land after the market closes. Instead of waiting for the next session, bStocks holders can adjust their positions as those events happen.
Built to be used on-chain
Once in an external wallet, bStocks can be deployed across on-chain applications. bStocks utilization has reached 11.2%, about 3.8 percentage points above the rate for tokenized equities overall, according to Binance Research.
Based on Binance Research’s analysis of on-chain activity, outstanding borrowing against bStocks rose from 5.5% of deposited collateral at the end of June to 46.2% by September 10, 2026, with approximately $3.1 million borrowed against $6.8 million of collateral.
On-chain transfers of tokenized stocks, including trading volume, exceeded $100 billion in Q3 2026, more than 16 times the $6 billion recorded in Q1. bStocks drove much of the surge, accounting for over 90% of weekly transfer volume at its early-August peak, per Binance Research.
One account for all finance
For many Binance users, bStocks is just one product of a wider suite that includes perpetuals, options, direct stocks, and crypto. In fact, according to Binance Research, 58.5% of early bStocks users had already traded perpetual futures, direct equities, or both as of August 2026, before they bought their first bStock.
Growing coverage
We've steadily increased coverage to meet the growing demand. When we first launched bStocks in June, there were only five tickers available. Four months later, bStocks now covers nearly 100 tickers across a variety of sectors, including AI infrastructure, semiconductors, sector ETFs, and more.
Final Thoughts
The $1B AUM milestone is just a snapshot of the broader momentum we're seeing. That headline number is still early by global benchmarks, part of a rapidly growing market that is opening new pathways into traditional finance. We are seeing the majority of bStocks trading taking place outside regular U.S. market hours, users converting billions between bStocks and direct stocks, and increasing utility that goes beyond the ability to trade 24/7.
Only 0.0025% of the global stock market is on-chain today, and even sub-1% penetration by 2030 would represent significant growth, with Binance Research base-case estimates at $349 billion.
