$BTC plunged from above 83,000 to 80,188, then bounced back to 81,277. It’s down 2.57% over the past 24 hours, with just 17.2B in trading volume. Honestly, that volume makes me nervous. In past bull markets, dips came with lower volume. Now it’s falling on rising volume, but the rebound is limp. What do you call that? No one’s stepping in to buy. Just a few days ago, I was telling the guys in the group, “Hold on, 100K is no pipe dream.” Then I was staring at the candlestick chart at three in the morning, hands shaking like I had Parkinson’s. Seriously, you know that feeling, right? I knew the daily chart had already broken below the previous low. I could see the AI leaders over in the U.S. stocks propping up the indexes while the rest of the market was already in a bear market. That old guy Peter Schiff was right: most stocks have been in a bear market for ages. But I just couldn’t accept it. I kept thinking, “Just wait a little longer. What if it V-shaped rebounds?” And what I got was 80,188, just a hair above 80,000. Honestly, the most agonizing part isn’t losing money. It’s being torn. Sell, and you’re afraid it’ll shoot back up the moment you do. Hold, and every morning you wake up to a smaller account. With Bitcoin, when it’s going up, it feels like a belief. When it’s going down, you realize you’re just a degenerate gambler. The 24-hour low was 80,188 and the high was 83,930—a swing of more than three grand—and I didn’t make a single move. You think that’s because I’ve got nerves of steel? Bullshit. I’m just a coward, unwilling to let that unrealized loss become a real one. I’m finally seeing clearly now. Halving, ETFs, institutional money coming in—once the good news is fully priced in, it becomes bad news. BTC has fallen from 80,000 and hasn’t even managed a decent rebound. Every time it reaches 83,000, it gets slapped back down. A volume of 17.2B would’ve been considered active before. Now? You can literally see liquidity drying up. Over in U.S. stocks, Dow futures are being propped up by energy stocks, and the S&P 500 barely turned green—but what the hell does that have to do with crypto? The Nasdaq sneezes, and BTC ends up in the ICU. To everyone still in this: I’ll say just one thing—don’t be like me, and don’t fall in love with the candlestick chart. Cut your losses when you need to, and get some sleep when you need to. Delete the app and spend time with your wife and kids. You can make the money back, but once your mental state collapses, you’re done. As for me, I’m stepping away for now. When BTC holds above 85,000 on the daily chart and trading volume gets back above 30B, I’ll come back and be a sucker again. See you in the comments
