【Old Leek Watch】$ONDO Platform assets surpass $4 billion as tokenized U.S. stocks gain momentum
New figures have emerged for real-world assets (RWAs) being brought on-chain.
According to reports on October 14, Ondo Finance’s total platform assets have surpassed $4 billion, including more than $1.3 billion in tokenized stocks and ETFs, with over 1 million holders in total.
The significance of these figures goes beyond Ondo’s growing size.
In the past, on-chain capital mainly revolved around stablecoins, lending, and token trading. Now, government bonds, stocks, and ETFs are also gradually entering the on-chain financial system. Users are looking for more than just ways to trade cryptocurrencies—they want access to a wider range of traditional financial assets on-chain.
However, growth in assets does not mean the price of the ONDO token will necessarily rise. The platform’s business, its product revenue, and whether token holders can benefit directly are three different things. The token’s long-term value will also depend on whether business growth creates sustained demand for the token, as well as how its tokenomics are designed.
What I’m more interested in is this: if tokenized stocks continue to grow, will on-chain trading volumes gradually expand from crypto assets to traditional financial assets?
Competition in RWAs is shifting from storytelling to a contest over the scale of real assets and actual usage.
