I opened the market today and only 5 out of 30 coins were up—that’s 16.7%. The gainers’ leaderboard had one lonely name on it: $WAL , up 15.89%, the brightest star of the bunch. Everything else was down so badly that for a moment I wondered if I’d opened the wrong account. 😅

As for the broader market, $BTC 81,316, down 2.58% over 24h; $ETH 2,373, down 5.37%—the hardest-hit among the major coins. ZEC was on the losers’ leaderboard at -10.56%, and ENA and PUMP were also down by double digits. The Fear and Greed Index is at 53: not exactly fearful, not exactly greedy. This index has its life more together than I do.

Derivatives data tells a slightly different story: $BTC ’s funding rate is +0.0052%, basically flat, and open interest is down just 0.28% over 1h. But the long/short ratio is 1.78, and $ETH is all the way up at 3.15. My impression is that plenty of people are complaining out loud but still holding onto their long positions. Then I saw Bitwise’s CIO say that “all roads lead to Bitcoin” (via ChainCatcher), and I figured the long-term believers are probably just pretending to sleep through today.

I don’t think today’s a panic day—just a broad sell-off and a lot of waiting on the sidelines, with volume yet to show up. What would you do on a day like this: add to your position, sit tight, or step aside and watch the show?
