StandX has canceled its token launch and will instead compensate users with a one-time DUSD airdrop while gradually winding down its business. The market is suddenly talking about DUSD—not because there’s a new token, but because people who had been waiting for a token launch are now wondering how much compensation they’ll receive and whether they’ll be able to redeem it smoothly.

My take: this looks more like an exit plan than a new growth story. The project says it has already returned most of its previous revenue to users, and that it will now distribute the remaining revenue and provide additional funds. But the information released so far doesn’t clearly explain how much each person will receive.

According to public discussions, the DUSD airdrop claim window runs from November 1 to December 31. Perpetual contracts will switch to reduce-only mode starting October 20, and redemption and withdrawal services are expected to end on January 31, 2027. Eligibility, allocation rules, and redemption arrangements still need to be confirmed against the project’s future announcements.

If the compensation is far below what users expected their points to be worth, is this a graceful exit—or just disappointment paid out in a different form?
