It hasn’t fallen hard enough—that’s exactly why I don’t dare buy the dip. $ETH plunged -6.07% overnight, $BTC 81,249, and only 5 of the 30 coins were in the green, while the Fear Index held steady in neutral territory at 53. Prices are bleeding, but sentiment hasn’t hit rock bottom.

One detail really stands out: the funding rate is still positive (+0.0061%), and the long/short ratios are $BTC 1.78 and $ETH 3.15. Dip-buying longs are still lined up and haven’t cleared out. Personally, I don’t think a bottom can form until these people give up their positions.

A quick look at the news: a QCP report shared by Wu Blockchain says traffic through the Strait of Hormuz has fallen from an average of 26 to just 1 passage, the US SPR is down 30.5% year over year, and credit spreads are still widening. Geopolitical tensions aren’t likely to ease in the short term.

My move: I trimmed one position last week. I’m not buying today; I’m holding $BNB and waiting for the Fear Index to actually drop below 30 before considering a move. Are you riding this out, cutting your position, or getting itchy fingers and buying the dip?
