🇺🇸 Starlink restricted the operating speed of military terminals in Ukraine — Axios
According to Axios (https://www.axios.com/2026/10/14/ukraine-starlink-zelensky-spacex-musk-trump), the restrictions affect satellite communications while in motion: connections began dropping when drones exceeded 160 km/h, and in some cases when they exceeded 80 km/h.
This made it more difficult for Ukrainian attack drones and interceptor drones to operate, and also caused some military missions to be aborted.
The Trump administration denied involvement in the restrictions and said it would contact SpaceX to establish the circumstances.
❗️According to Axios, the restrictions affected both Starlink and the military Starshield system. The reasons for and circumstances surrounding the introduction of the restrictions remain under investigation.
