Fabio (a 3-time World Cup of Futures scalping champion) doesn’t increase his risk on a whim. He only increases it with profits he’s already made.

The step-by-step (example with $10,000):

1️⃣ Start small.

Risk 0.25% per trade ($25), with a target of 1:3 to 1:4. Each winning trade is worth +1%.

2️⃣ Trade only his model.

He enters when his conditions align: a key level, a favorable bias, volume that matches the price action, and good timing. He doesn’t trade the first move or try to catch extremes.

3️⃣ Protect every trade.

Close part of the position (about 50%) at 1:3 and let the rest run with a trailing stop. If order flow weakens, exit at 1–1.5R and use that profit for the next trade.

4️⃣ Build up your initial gains.

Three wins in the first few hours: +3% for the day.

5️⃣ Protect most of your gains.

Set aside 2% as untouchable profit.

6️⃣ Risk only the surplus.

Use the remaining 1% to open two trades at 0.5% each. Now each win is worth twice as much.

7️⃣ Stick to your stop rule.

Three stop-outs in a day, then stop. Three in a row mean the market isn’t suited to your method. The next day, one good trade is enough to recover.

8️⃣ Best- and worst-case scenarios.

If both trades lose, the day ends at +2%. If they win, you add another 1–2% or more.

9️⃣ Start fresh the next day.

Go back to 0.25%. Your base capital is never exposed to more risk just because you had a good day.

In tournaments, you also scale up month by month: 0.25% in the first month, then 0.35–0.40% in the second if things go well.

Why it works:

✅ Avoid the worst-case scenario: going back to square one.

✅ Make the most of good days, when most of the gains happen.

✅ Keeps drawdown below 20%.

Rules that keep it in check:

🔹 Only one open position

🔹 Maximum of 3 stop-outs per day

🔹 Never risks more than the day’s gains

The lesson: you don’t scale up risk when you feel good; you scale it up once you’ve already made a profit.

⚠️ This only works if your strategy has a proven edge. Otherwise, it accelerates your losses.
