$OP is down 16%. Is it still not too late to short?
Honestly, when people see OP falling like this, their first reaction is often to open a short right away, afraid of missing the next leg down.

But I’d actually like to offer a reminder: a sharp drop doesn’t mean that shorting now is guaranteed to be profitable.
$OP has plunged from around 0.158 to 0.1308, with the low almost touching 0.13. If you chase the drop and short at this point, a sudden rebound could easily catch you off guard right after you enter.

So how should we look at things now?
I’d keep an eye on two levels first.
One is around 0.13. If this level doesn’t hold and the price keeps falling after breaking below it, be cautious—the downtrend may not be over yet.
The other is around 0.14. If the price rebounds but can’t hold above it, and gets pushed back down as soon as it touches that level, this rebound may not be straightforward. We’ll need to keep watching for potential shorting opportunities.
But if the price gets back above 0.14 and holds there on a retest, don’t rush to stay bearish. The market has changed, so your outlook should change too.

I’ve always felt that the hardest part of trading futures isn’t predicting whether prices will rise or fall—it’s keeping your impulses in check.
You’re afraid to short when prices are falling, then jump in after they’ve already dropped a lot; you’re afraid to buy when prices are rising, then start chasing after they’ve already taken off. I’m sure many people have experienced this kind of loss.

So this time with $OP , I’m in no rush to call the bottom, and I don’t want to blindly chase a short at these low levels. I’ll see how it moves first, then decide whether there’s a worthwhile entry.

I’ll keep watching these two levels. If you’re interested, come chat with us at 聊天室 and let’s see whether the next move is a rebound that offers an opportunity, or a breakdown followed by further weakness. There’s no harm in being a little late to an opportunity—the real danger is rushing in before you’ve figured out the direction.
