A friend just asked me whether Aave is going to accept Bitcoin. Not exactly: a project called Babylon has proposed bringing native BTC into Aave V4 as collateral to borrow stablecoins, and there have been about 133 discussions about it on X.
The proposal hasn’t gone to a vote yet, but the $AAVE people involved need to figure out who’s going to backstop the liquidation mess first.
Could this actually happen?
