130 financial and crypto organizations in South Korea have just been found to have serious security vulnerabilities, just as $BTC was pushed down to $80,815.4 (-3.27% over 24 hours at the time of writing).
A comprehensive review of 555 entities by South Korean authorities revealed that at least 16 organizations had actually been breached, exposing around 100,000 customer records. The market immediately reacted negatively as $ETH also fell to $2,355.42 (-6.09%), triggering a widespread wave of liquidations.
Whenever bad news about regulation or security infrastructure emerges, major players are quick to exploit retail traders’ panic to hunt for liquidity in highly leveraged Long positions.
