StandX shuts down, airdrops DUSD

- Since launch, it has had 237,000 users and a peak TVL of $200 million, with no fund security incidents throughout its operations. No platform token will be issued; remaining revenue, together with additional funds from the team, will be distributed in a one-time DUSD airdrop, with no lockup and unrestricted transfers and redemptions.
- Trading will continue as usual through October 20. Starting October 15, all earnings will be set to zero, including DUSD yield and market-making rebates. Claims are open from November 1 to December 31; unclaimed tokens will be forfeited. Close positions by January 15, and withdraw and submit redemption requests for USDT by January 31.

The founding team includes former core members of Binance’s futures team and people with backgrounds in Goldman Sachs trading systems. This time, they’re settling up and exiting directly. DUSD redemptions will be concentrated in the final two weeks of January, and the route for converting to U could put pressure on stablecoin liquidity on BNB Chain and Solana. No new capital is coming in, so the range-bound market structure remains unchanged. This news won’t have a direct impact, but on-chain depth during the late-January redemption window is worth watching. If you still have a StandX position, should you claim your DUSD now, convert it to U, and leave—or wait until the end of January and bet that the network won’t be congested?
