U.S. spot crypto ETFs all saw outflows yesterday, sending another signal worth watching in the market.

📉 BTC spot ETFs: $261 million in net outflows

BlackRock’s IBIT saw $110 million in outflows, while Fidelity’s FBTC saw $152.7 million.

📉 ETH spot ETFs: $129.5 million in net outflows

BlackRock’s ETHA alone saw $110 million in outflows in a single day.

That adds up to roughly $390.5 million in combined net outflows from BTC and ETH spot ETFs.

So, are institutional investors starting to turn bearish on BTC and ETH?

It’s too early to say.

ETF outflows mean that more money flowed out of these products than flowed in that day. But this doesn’t mean all institutions are selling, and a single day’s data isn’t enough to predict what happens next.

What really matters is whether these outflows continue.

If BTC and ETH ETFs see net outflows for several consecutive days, it could mean institutions are reducing their risk exposure. But if inflows return soon, it may simply be a short-term adjustment.

📌 Keep an eye on three signals next: flows into BTC ETFs, whether ETH ETFs can stem the outflows, and how the prices of both assets respond to changes in fund flows.
