I used to wonder why everyone watched round-number levels. It took me a while to understand: there’s nothing special about the levels themselves; it’s just that everyone is watching them and placing stop-loss orders nearby, so price tends to react more noticeably when it reaches them.
Breaking through a level only shows that one side has the upper hand at that moment. Whether the move continues depends on where the next level is and whether trading volume can keep up.
Learning to read indicators isn’t hard. The hard part is still following the rules when the market is at its most volatile.
