$WAL 24-hour gain of 45.92%, with $48.7 million in volume. That’s not the kind of volume retail traders can generate.

I was watching the charts when this candlestick made me do a double take. It shot straight from 0.04 to 0.05933, with barely a meaningful pullback along the way. I haven’t seen any good news to explain the move, so my read is that whales are pumping it. With $48.7 million in volume accompanying this kind of price action, either the project team is drumming up hype before selling, or someone with deep pockets is up to something.

Can you chase it? My answer: don’t rush in. Whale pumps tend to come and go fast. By the time you notice them, the move is often already in its final stretch, and chasing it will most likely leave you holding the bag. I’ve set my stop-loss at the 38.2% Fibonacci retracement level of this move, around 0.052.

Meanwhile, $NFP is down 65.85%, with only $3.8 million in volume. A sharp drop on such low volume is the real trap. When some people sell in panic, others try to catch the falling knife—but it’s too early to step in now. I’d rather wait for the trend to stabilize.

BTC is around 81,000 right now, and funding is still on the high side, so the short-term outlook is bearish. With the broader market looking weak, don’t mess around with altcoins.

Do you think this move in WAL is an opportunity, or are the whales setting a trap?
