My stop-loss was just hit, and my short strategy came up empty once again.
The most eye-catching one is WAL, up 51% to $0.06003, with a trading volume of 48.5 million. That volume is highly unusual. BTC is down 2.9% today, yet WAL is rallying against the trend. My take: this is market manipulation, not a news-driven move. Genuine good news wouldn’t cause such a sudden surge. A pump this sharp is just meant to find buyers to dump on. Can you chase it? No. Chasing it would just mean handing money to the manipulators. I plan to wait for a pullback to the 0.055–0.058 range before considering it.
NFP is even more outrageous, down 65% in a day to $0.00181. This isn’t a panic sell-off; the project may be heading toward zero. Trading volume is only 3.8 million, and there are practically no buyers to absorb the selling. This kind of low-volume decline is the scariest. If you’re holding this coin, I suggest placing a market order to sell and not waiting for a rebound.
Looking at $BTC , the funding rate is -0.0005. Short positions are building up, but the price is down only 2.9%. The battle between bulls and bears is still ongoing. I don’t think this pullback is over yet, and the 79,000–80,000 range is the key support zone.
