$BTC has fallen below $81,000! What worries me most this time isn’t Bitcoin dropping—it’s that some people still think you can make money with your eyes closed in a bull market!
Honestly, there’s something especially ridiculous about the crypto market right now: up $500, and everyone’s declaring the bull market is back; down $2,000, and they immediately start wondering if a bear market is here.
A few days ago, BTC briefly fell below $81,000, wiping out a round of leveraged longs. Although the price later climbed back above $83,000, I don’t think this drop was just a simple shakeout. Look—it’s fallen below $81,000 again today!
Why? Because what the market lacks right now isn’t a story—it’s buyers willing to keep putting money in!
People used to believe that once ETFs entered the market, $BTC would just keep climbing. But what about now? Institutional investors can pull out too, and the market turns on a dime at the slightest hint of trouble in the macro data. Inflationary pressure in the U.S. is still there, and the Fed’s policy remains uncertain. Investors simply don’t dare go all in like they used to.
Personally, I don’t think a drop below $81,000 means the bull market is over. But we have to admit one thing: BTC is no longer the kind of market where you can shout out some bullish news and send prices soaring by thousands of dollars.
Here are the three levels I’m watching next:
$80,000: A psychological support level. If the price breaks below it and can’t quickly recover, sentiment could deteriorate further.
$83,000: A short-term battleground for bulls and bears. Whether the price can hold above it will determine how convincing the rebound is.
$84,000: An area to watch for overhead resistance. Without volume to back it up, a move above this level could quickly get rejected.
My strategy right now is simple: I’m not chasing the rebound, I’m not rushing to buy the dip, and I definitely won’t max out my leverage in this kind of market.
The biggest opportunities often don’t come just because prices have fallen. They come when others can’t take it anymore and you still have cash on hand!
One last question: Do you think this is the final shakeout before BTC makes a run at $90,000, or is $80,000 simply not going to hold?
Let me know in the comments. I want to see whether the die-hard bulls still outnumber everyone else, or if the bears are already celebrating early! 😂
