Rakuten Group-owned crypto exchange Rakuten Wallet launched a new Android app on October 14 that combines spot and margin trading, with an iOS version planned for later release. According to ChainCatcher, the company said its two existing standalone apps are scheduled to stop service in early 2027.

The new app supports Passkey-only login, adds an AI virtual assistant that can answer market information and operational questions, and allows users to buy cryptocurrencies with standard Rakuten points.
