Where do transactions wait after being broadcast but before they’re added to the blockchain? Many people can’t answer!
“Child Pays for Parent” (CPFP) means spending the outputs of a stuck transaction to create a new transaction with a higher fee. For miners to include the new transaction in a block, they must include the original transaction as well.
While a transaction is still in the mempool, it hasn’t been added to the blockchain and may still be replaced or removed before it’s included in a block.
