Just took a quick look at the data—there’s something going on.

$BTC has fallen below 81,000, down 2.44%. The key thing is that the funding rate is still negative at -0.0021. The bears haven’t left, and the bulls are even less willing to step in. Volume at 1.77B isn’t particularly high, which suggests there’s no panic selling—but there aren’t any dip buyers either. This kind of low-volume decline is the most painful.

Sectors that are up: WAL is up +44.93%. When a small-cap coin suddenly surges this hard, it’s either project news or a straight-up pump-and-dump. SOXSB and OSMO are following the same pattern.

Sectors that are down: NFP is down -65.85%, VANRY is down -37%—those aren’t normal corrections. The meme sector is seeing a sharp retreat. As long as $BTC trades sideways in the 80,000–82,000 range, coins without real support will keep getting hammered.

Outlook for the next 1–2 days: $BTC 80k will probably need to consolidate for a while. I won’t change my bullish stance unless it breaks below 79,000. If it does, all the bulls from this rally will hit their stop-losses and get trapped again. With the funding rate this negative, the bears are waiting too.

Don’t try to catch falling knives in the meme sector, and don’t chase those coins that are up 40% either—they’re all there to fleece retail traders.

Can the bulls hold on?
