Lobster plunges 30%, while futures trading volume surges to $180 million. Is the bearish trend not over yet?

Lobster has once again climbed Binance’s futures trading popularity rankings.

Cross-platform data from the morning of 10/15 showed 24-hour futures trading volume of about $180 million, while the price fell by more than 37%.

Despite the sharp price drop, futures trading activity remained high, indicating that trading activity did not disappear as the token’s price fell.

However, high trading volume does not mean that all of it came from newly opened short positions.

To determine whether bears are continuing to add positions or bulls are re-entering the market after liquidations, we still need open interest (OI), funding rates, and taker buy/sell data.

What we can confirm for now is that Lobster’s daily chart structure remains weak, and the overall trend has yet to reverse.

However, the price is now close to its previous low, so I’m instead leaning toward the possibility of a short-term rebound.

Looking at the daily and 4-hour chart structures, 0.025–0.03 USDT is a support zone worth watching, with the previous low at around 0.02515.

If this range holds without a decisive break below it, a short-term rebound may get underway.

For now, my rebound target is 0.06 USDT, though the price will still need to overcome resistance around 0.042–0.045 along the way.

Conversely, if the price breaks below 0.02515 and fails to quickly reclaim that level, the outlook for a rebound from this support will be invalidated.
