I just opened my account and took a look, then checked the market—and yeah, I must have opened it the wrong way.

The major coins are all lying flat today: $BTC 81,758 (-2.16%), $ETH 2,426 (-3.59%), $SOL 104.70 (-2.94%). Market breadth is 5/19, with only 26.3% of coins up. In plain English: three-quarters of them are playing dead.

The funniest part is the Fear & Greed Index: 53, Neutral.
After a drop like this, they still call it “neutral.” I could learn a thing or two from that attitude. 😅

The news, on the other hand, is lively (source: Wu Says Blockchain):
① The SEC approved Cboe’s launch of binary options tied to Coinbase and Robinhood’s performance. Just answer “yes” or “no”—easier on the brain than watching the charts.
② VanEck withdrew the S-1 for its Lido staked ETH ETF, saying it “no longer plans to move forward.” One fewer episode in $ETH ’s ETF saga.
③ Kalshi’s CEO warned that if a court rules prediction markets fall under state jurisdiction, related companies could be forced to move overseas.

My take: lots of news-driven theatrics today, but the market itself hasn’t shown a clear direction. I also took a quick look at the futures data: the long/short ratio for $ETH is 3.41, and BTC open interest is still inching up on the hourly timeframe (+0.33%)—the bulls seem to still be lining up for a meal.

On days like this, when “the index says neutral, but the market says flat,” do you think it’s best to take a break, or is someone gearing up for a big move?
