An Ethereum whale transferred 6,369 ETH to Kraken, worth close to $16 million.

Purchased for around $14 nine years ago, these ETH represent a potential gain of 17,786%.

This transfer does not necessarily mean that the investor has sold their cryptocurrency and realized the gains.

The movements of these long-time holders attract attention, but their impact on the price of Ethereum remains limited for now.

The wallet tracked by Lookonchain deposited 6,369 ETH on the Kraken platform on October 14. At the time of the transfer, the tokens were worth approximately $15.95 million, based on a price of around $2,504 per ether.

The address reportedly acquired these ETH nine years ago at an average price of just $14. The initial cost of the position can therefore be estimated at approximately $89,166.

The ratio of the current value to the initial capital is almost 179. After deducting the initial investment, the potential gain is around $15.86 million, or approximately 17,786%.
