ByteDance's Doubao phone assistant released a list of apps that refuse GUI agent operations on October 14. According to PANews, by 4:00 p.m. that day, 155 apps had said they would not allow the Doubao mobile GUI agent to operate on them, including WeChat, QQ, Taobao, Tmall, Meituan and Alipay.
The list also included 66 Tencent and related ecosystem apps, 23 Alibaba and related ecosystem apps, as well as apps from Pinduoduo, Xiaohongshu, Zhihu, DeepSeek, China's three major telecom operators, and several banks, including China Merchants Bank and ICBC. QuestMobile data showed that among the 10 apps with the largest user bases in the first half of the year, only Douyin and JD.com had not explicitly refused.
