The unit “satoshi” is named after Bitcoin’s creator, Satoshi Nakamoto.
Honestly, here’s something I only understood later: before making a transfer, check whether the amount is in BTC or satoshis. A one-place error in the decimal point can make the amount differ by an order of magnitude.
