$DOT search volume is through the roof, but there are no new projects launching on-chain

$DOT search volume suddenly spiked, but after combing through the on-chain data, there’s no real evidence of any projects launching 📉.

Some people think a surge in searches means money is flowing in and signals a revival of an old chain. But in my view, search activity can be manipulated; on-chain activity and developer launches are the real metrics, and there’s currently no substantive positive news to back this up.

This wave of hype is mostly driven by unverified rumors and existing users’ urge to buy the dip. If no new projects launch, the excitement will fade quickly, and the risk of a stagnant ecosystem remains unchanged 🔍.

Next, keep a close eye on what developers do: first, whether there’s an official decision on the Substrate 2.0 upgrade; second, whether the number of genuinely active on-chain addresses rebounds; and third, whether any new applications are actually willing to deploy on the chain.

Don’t just stare at the search index fluctuating on your screen—that’s merely a layer of false ripples on the surface.
