Bitcoin whales increased their holdings to 3.03 million BTC ahead of Wednesday’s US inflation report, according to a report from CryptoQuant dated October 13. According to NS3.AI, Farside Investors data showed that US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded net outflows of $744.3 million over six trading sessions through October 12, before attracting $175.7 million on October 13, bringing net outflows over seven sessions down to $568.6 million. Economists surveyed by Reuters expect headline inflation to rise to 3.6% in September, up from 3.4% in August. Higher-than-expected inflation could sustain selling pressure on Bitcoin, while lower-than-expected inflation could support renewed investment.
