Will Oil Ignite Inflation? A Look at CPI and Treasury Yields 🛢️📉

Escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East aren't just a passing event; they are a direct pressure point on energy markets. As oil prices climb, US energy costs rise with them, directly impacting September CPI expectations.

The upcoming data puts investors in front of two scenarios:
1️⃣ Hot CPI Scenario: If CPI comes in hotter than expected, we could see a strong revival of bets on another Fed rate hike before year-end. This scenario means massive upward pressure on Treasury yields.
2️⃣ Cooling Scenario: If the market absorbs the energy spike as temporary, we might see yields stabilize.

🎯 My Strategy & Position Adjustment:
Given persistent tensions, I expect inflation to come in hotter. Therefore, I am adjusting my positions as follows:

· Oil: Reinforcing long positions in BZUSDT (Brent Crude) anticipating continued upside.
· Treasuries: Hedging against rising yields by monitoring TBT (Short-Term Treasuries) and TMFUSDT, while being cautious of RWUSD volatility.
