【Laojiu’s Market Watch】
Binance delists two tokens at once: EPIC and QUICK. The spot trading suspension isn’t the only thing to watch.
Binance announced today that it plans to suspend spot trading for EPIC and QUICK at 11:00 on October 28 (Beijing time). Earlier, Binance Futures will automatically settle the relevant contracts at 17:00 on October 20 (Beijing time), and prohibit opening new positions starting half an hour before settlement.
This means holders of these two tokens shouldn’t focus only on spot prices: futures positions have a clearly defined handling time, and copy trading, leveraged products, and earn products each have their own delisting arrangements. Missing a deadline could result in automatic settlement, order cancellations, and other consequences.
One more point: being delisted by Binance doesn’t mean a project is worthless; however, losing a major trading venue could affect liquidity and future trading arrangements. As for the reason for the delisting, Binance listed review factors such as development progress, liquidity, security, team communication, and token economics. But the announcement didn’t specify which factors applied to EPIC or QUICK individually, so it’s not possible to conclude that any particular issue was the cause.
