The market mini-drama has a new update: $DOGE 1-hour trading volume was about $45.79 million, 4.3 times the previous average; the price fell 0.78% over the same period.
A surge in volume only shows that trading has picked up; it doesn’t tell us which side is right.
On a serious note, trading volumes in futures and spot markets often differ considerably. Futures volume includes a lot of high-frequency turnover, so a volume spike doesn’t mean exactly the same thing in both markets.
Indicators can fail, but stop-losses shouldn’t be skipped: deciding in advance what to do if you’re wrong matters more than trying to guess right.
