【NEAR is gearing up for a big move at this level】

Everyone’s watching BTC’s drop from 84k. But there’s something else I’m more interested in—trading volume for NEAR is starting to pick up at this level.

Honestly, at $ 4.93, it’s down nearly 3%, which is no small drop. But look closely: the bears aren’t as aggressive as you might think. Why? Because market sentiment is still in the greed zone (62). People aren’t panicking; they’re just waiting to see the CPI data.

My take: wait and see.

Why not bearish?

NEAR has fallen 76% from its high. That’s no joke. I lived through the e-commerce bust of 2015 and the crypto market crash of 2018—and a real bubble bursting doesn’t look like this slow, drawn-out decline. When volume picks up at a level this low, it often means someone is buying and someone sees an opportunity here.

But why not bullish?

The CPI data isn’t out yet. If tomorrow’s numbers are bad, BTC could keep falling, and the entire altcoin market will follow. If support at $ 4.84 breaks, the next level to watch is around 4.5. Resistance is at $ 5.28; a breakout above that would be a meaningful signal.

Here’s the key question: what does this mean in practice?

NEAR is in an awkward spot right now—not a garbage project, but not compelling enough to make people feel they absolutely have to buy it. Whether it can deliver in the real world doesn’t depend on NEAR alone; it depends on whether Web3 as a whole can evolve from “fundraising with pitch decks” to “real users.” If DeFi TVL picks up and DApps gain real daily active users over the next six months, then $ 4.93 will be the floor. If it’s business as usual, with people just speculating on narratives, the price could keep grinding lower.

From a business perspective, NEAR is betting on sharding technology and ease of use. That’s the right direction. But whether you can wait until that day depends on whether you have enough capital and can bear the time cost.

My advice? At this level, I wouldn’t chase the price, and I wouldn’t sell in a panic either. First, see how the CPI data comes in, and whether BTC can hold the $ 83k level.

What’s your signal? If you’re on the sidelines, wait for a breakout signal; if you’re holding, set your stop-loss. For this move, I’m choosing to sit back and watch.
