The price of the same coin can vary slightly when quoted in different currencies. If the price gap gets large enough, arbitrage traders step in and bring prices back in line.
Before checking whether a coin is up or down, make sure you know what it’s priced in: over the same period, a coin could rise against USDT but fall against BTC.
