🚨 U.S. CPI rises to 3.7%! BTC falls back below $83,000— is another wave of declines coming?

$BTC Latest price is around $82,763, down 0.44% in 24 hours, with a high of $84,049 and a low of $82,575.

Tonight, the U.S. reported September CPI up 3.7% year over year, above market expectations of 3.6%. Core CPI rose 2.6% year over year, also exceeding expectations.

But I think what really deserves attention isn't just rising inflation—it's that BTC still can't break through resistance around $84,200.

BTC has tested $84,000 several times over the past few days, but has yet to sustain a breakout, which means overhead selling pressure is still worth watching.

Here’s what I’ll be watching:

🔴 $84,000–$84,200: A breakout and hold above this range could open the door to a test of $85,500.

🟢 $82,500: An important support zone for now. If BTC breaks below it and fails to reclaim it, it could go on to test $81,000.

I’m currently leaning toward choppy price action with a bearish bias, but I don’t think a hotter-than-expected CPI automatically means BTC will keep falling.

If the market absorbs the negative news and climbs back above $84,200, I’ll revise my outlook.

💬 Do you think BTC will break above $84,200 first, or fall below $82,500?
