$DUSK took a pretty decisive hit here: it plunged nearly 5% in 15m, volume surged to 3.24x, and the Z-score climbed to 3.76—not a slow decline on shrinking volume; someone is really making moves here.

What’s interesting, though, is that OI fell along with it. It dropped 3.28% over 15m and is now down 10% over 1h, with more than 1.5 million U in notional value wiped out. This looks more like longs deleveraging and stop-losses triggering in a cascade than fresh shorts entering to push the price down. Funding rates are still in a high percentile relative to recent levels, showing just how crowded the longs were—the market is now flushing out the excess.

The price broke below the lows of the last 20 or so 5m candles. Aggressive trade flow was at -12.7%, the buy/sell ratio was 0.77, and sellers clearly had the upper hand. The OI anomaly percentile is 98%, ranking #7 across the entire pool, and the move has continued across multiple consecutive intervals. An anomaly confirmed this deeply is unlikely to be noise.

Price down + OI down: in the short term, this isn’t a pattern of bears aggressively attacking; it’s longs failing to hold on. Two things to watch next: first, whether funding rates can quickly return to neutral, and second, whether the price stabilizes when OI stops falling. Don’t rush to buy the dip during deleveraging—wait for the structure to emerge.
