I’ve never made any transfers. Why were my tokens still taken?
My understanding: Many people think that a signature that doesn’t cost Gas can’t affect their assets. Offline signing authorizations exploit exactly this misconception.
These signatures aren’t on-chain transactions, so signing them doesn’t cost Gas. But whoever obtains the signature can submit it on-chain to activate the authorization.
What I do: When a signing request includes fields such as Permit, spender, amount, and deadline, I treat it as an authorization.
Token in the example: $ETH , current price 2482.35 (24h -0.84%).
