Just checked the market: $WTC plunged 56 points straight away, now trading at 0.01 with $480K in volume. This thing was already illiquid to begin with—you couldn’t get out even if you wanted to. The Fear & Greed Index is at 28 now, deep in the ice-cold zone, but that doesn’t mean it can’t get even colder.
Yesterday, people in the group were still calling for a bottom on $WAL . It’s up 40% today, with $21M in volume—one of the better performers among a bad bunch. But don’t rush to catch falling knives like $PHB and $ACA, which are down 50%. I bought $VIC on the way down last week, and I’m still underwater. A lesson paid for with real money.
According to Binance’s real-time data, altcoins have been hit much harder than Bitcoin in this sell-off. The Nasdaq is up a modest 0.3%, gold is holding at 2360, and capital isn’t flowing into crypto at all. The nonfarm payrolls report comes out this week, so everyone’s holding their breath.
For now, I’m only experimenting with small positions and sitting tight with the bulk of my holdings. Don’t fight the trend, and keep your hands off until the candlesticks stabilize. If you’re looking to buy the dip, search for $WTC and $WAL on Binance and check the market depth before making a move—don’t just look at how far they’ve fallen.
The above is just my personal opinion and does not constitute investment advice.
