【Retail traders think a 15% drop means it’s time to run, but I actually think QNT is looking interesting at this level】

A lot of people see QNT down 15% in a week and immediately think, “That’s it, the trend’s broken—get out, fast.” That’s not necessarily wrong, but it’s a pretty superficial take.

You know what? QNT has already fallen by more than half from its peak. What does a 52% drawdown mean in crypto? It means most of the retail traders who rushed in have probably been shaken out, and long-term investors are starting to take a closer look at this level. The 197.71 support isn’t just a line someone drew on a chart—it’s backed by real money.

I think QNT will trend slightly upward while trading sideways over the next seven days, for three reasons:

First, a deep correction is a value signal in itself. Institutions and experienced crypto veterans don’t sell at a level where the price has been cut in half. Instead, they tend to build positions gradually in this range.

Second, the Fear and Greed Index is at 62, so market sentiment is still in the greed zone, with no panic spreading. As long as sentiment hasn’t collapsed, bears can’t get their act together.

Third, trading volume has stayed active lately, which shows that money is still flowing in and no one has really given up on this asset.

What would make me admit I’m wrong? If QNT falls below 197.71, then my bottom call was off, and it could go lower. If it breaks above 226.79, it could gain strength quickly in the short term—but that would also increase the risk of missing the move.

Put simply, I don’t think QNT is about to plunge, but I don’t think it’s ready to take off right away, either. Most likely, it’ll trade sideways in this range, giving the market time to choose a direction.

What’s your mindset right now? Getting itchy to make a move? Or do you think QNT is beyond saving and can’t even be bothered to watch?
