What is MACD? The height of the bars reflects the gap between DIF and DEA. Bars that grow longer one after another indicate that momentum in the current direction is strengthening, while bars that shorten indicate that it is weakening.
A death cross above the zero line is often interpreted as a slowdown in upward momentum and does not necessarily mean the trend is over; a death cross below the zero line is more often seen as a continuation of the downtrend.
All data summarize past price movements, and the market could just as easily move in the opposite direction.
