The U.S. September CPI data will be released in an hour. The consensus is 3.6–3.7%, up slightly from August. Whether CPI comes in within expectations will also influence the Fed’s decisions on rate hikes or cuts, making it an extremely important benchmark.

However, the Fed pays closer attention to core data. What it really wants to confirm is whether core CPI month over month accelerated from 0.2% in August to 0.3%. If it comes in above expectations, that would be bearish for crypto in the short term but bullish in the medium term.

Be cautious of sharp market volatility at 8:30. $BTC : watch 81K on the downside and 84K on the upside as the trading range. My view, though, is that the correction isn’t over yet, and this choppy trend is likely to continue for quite some time.
