Standard Chartered Bank has announced the official launch of crypto asset trading services in the UAE, becoming the first international bank in the country to offer this service.
The service is licensed by Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) and is available to eligible high-net-worth and professional investors.
Clients can use their existing bank accounts to buy and sell assets, with custody and settlement handled entirely within the bank’s system—no need to use external third-party wallets.
A major traditional bank offering spot trading under a fully compliant license provides institutions and high-net-worth investors with a more standardized channel for entering the crypto market.
