Before looking at positions, first understand the volume spike.
When trading volume surges, order book spreads and slippage often increase too, so entering or exiting with market orders can be costly.
When volume surges but the price barely moves, it means buyers and sellers are actively exchanging positions at that price. To see which way the price moves next, watch for which side gives way first.
Leave yourself plenty of room when using leverage. Don’t let one sudden swing wipe out your position.
