$BTC is making a run at 84,000, and the reasons behind this rebound are pretty interesting.

Fed official Williams came right out and said there would be no rate hikes before 2027. The market immediately got excited, risk assets bounced back across the board, and $ETH $SOL rallied along with them. But don't celebrate just yet—the real test is tonight's U.S. September CPI report. Williams says there won't be a rate hike next year, then turns around and says there could be another one this year. That really makes me frown.

Meanwhile, things in the Middle East are truly chaotic. Twenty-four ships have been attacked in the Strait of Hormuz in just two weeks, pushing Brent crude back above $106 and sending European natural gas prices to their highest level since late 2022. Goldman Sachs ran the numbers: the average cost of shipping crude globally has jumped from $4 to $30 a barrel. With oil prices rising like this, inflation will eventually feed through, and the Fed's calculations aren't so straightforward.

Here's my take: expectations of short-term liquidity are supporting crypto prices, but the geopolitical and inflation risks haven't gone away, so don't go all in. Buying a little on a pullback is fine, but don't chase the rally. Keeping your hands in check is more important than anything.
