Someone asks: How long does a transaction have to wait before it can be considered completely irreversible?
I usually answer like this: To reverse a finalized block on Ethereum, an attacker would have to forfeit at least one-third of the total staked ETH. Probabilistic finality is like a stack of paper getting taller and taller—the more sheets piled on top, the harder it is to pull out the one at the bottom. Deterministic finality is more like a stamped contract: once it’s stamped, you can’t take it back.
